Kiddy lions win semi cup final, 5 -
1, to book their place at langlands stadium.
The first half saw a great performance from the girls, who passed the ball so
well, it was like poetry in motion.
The girls carved their way past the defence with some great foot work from jaz
p, abbie, shannon, grace, sophie b and ellie mai. The team was very competitive
and showed a real hunger to win. It was great to watch such great football.
Abbie scored 2, shannon scored 1 and jaz p got the opener. The overall performance
was outstanding. Lots of comments on how well the girls played and dominated
the first half.
Droitwich came back in the second half, unfortunately our midfield let them back
into the game, this put pressure on our defence for a while, kath dropped into
defence and secured our back line, abbie dropped into midfield which helped to
create more good pass work, which gave abbie her chance for another hatrick again.
3 hatricks in 3 weeks.
A big thanks go to our super back three, they work so well together, it is the
back bone to this team. but we also have to thank our goalie who i thought i
had nearly put out of action on tuesday in training. so well done to jaz b, leah
and beth and our goalie,... laura.
last but not least, a special thanks to billie and sophie p, they train every
week and come to every match. thanks girls.
