Worcs Girls 3 - Kiddy Lions Girls 2
Jaz B was todays player of the match.

After weather that had cancelled most matches, this one was on. First half started off quite even, both teams attacking in strength, but stopped by good defences. A long shot by Worcester gave them the lead, about 6 minutes before half time.
Second half was a completely different game. Lions girls attacked in force, lots of chances were saved by the goalie or by the posts and cross bar, but after 10 minutes, a chance was put into the back of the net by Laura. score 1 - 1. Further attacks hit the posts even more, but a chance came from an attack from Worcs, with a shot hitting the goalie, off a player, onto the post and in, 2 - 1 to Worcs. 5 mins later gave the lions another equalizer, score 2 - 2 from Jaz P. This gave Lions real heart with further pressure and more shots hitting the posts or goalie. Lions couldnt convert their chances, a late break by Worcs saw a long shot giving Leah the goalie no chance and worcs the winning goal before the final whistle. Unlucky girls, overall a great effort from a hard working team, we were beaten by the posts and a good goalie, but not in spirit. Next time girls.
